The workshop will be held at Lanzhou University, Lanzhou, Gansu
Province, China. With a population of 2.91 million, it is one of
the largest cities in northwest China.
It was one of most important towns on the ancient Silk
Road and has been famous for thousands of years as the
Corridor West of Yellow River, where early Chinese
civilization began.
Reaching Lanzhou
Lanzhou
has direct flights and trains from the majority of the main
cities. Beijing, with 5 flights and 2 trains to Lanzhou
everyday, is the most convenient transfer city. The university
is connected to the airport via shuttle.
Accommodation
The guesthouse of Lanzhou University is in the main campus.
There are also some hotels around the university. Price ranges
from US $25 – 200 per day and the local organizing committee can
reserve rooms upon participants’ request.

Registration
The registration fee is US $200 for participants, and US $100
for students and accompanying persons. It covers admission to
principal lectures, short oral presentations, discussions, an
abstract booklet and meals during the workshop.
Participants are responsible for obtaining a valid passport and
VISA. Consult your local Chinese Embassy/Consulate for required
documents. Upon request, organizers will issue a letter of
invitation for attending the workshop. Participants are required
to make sure that their health insurance is covered during
foreign travel.
Lanzhou has comfortable weather conditions in May. Local
sightseeing will be arranged and a visit to Dunhuang is
recommended.
