报告摘要

The spin diffusion length (SDL) and the spin Hall angle (SHA) in PdPt/YIG are studied through measurements of spin Hall magnetoresistance. The SDL is found to be invariant to the relaxation time of electron momentum while we change the temperature, the NM thickness, or the alloy composition. The spin relaxation process is then proved to obey the D’yakonov-Perel’mechanism due to the interfacial broken inversion symmetry. The nonmonotonic variation of the SHA with temperature is observed and attributed to the phonon skew scattering in the presence of Rashba spin orbit coupling (IRSOC) at the interface. Our work constructs a unified understanding of the SDL and the SHA in the frame of the IRSOC.

周仕明教授简历

周仕明，同济大学，教授，博导，杰出青年基金获得者。分别于1986、1989、1992年获得南京大学物理系学士、硕士、博士学位，1992年7月在复旦大学物理系开始博士后研究，1994年7月任复旦大学物理系副教授，2000年12月任复旦大学物理系教授。2010年10月任同济大学物理系教授。1996年12月-1997年11月在德国爱尔兰根-纽伦堡大学做访问学者，1997年11月-1998年12月到美国霍普金斯大学开展合作研究。

研究领域包括：垂直磁记录连续介质制备以及盘片制作；磁输运性质和自旋阀巨磁电阻效应；自旋超快动力学；铁磁/反铁磁双层膜中交换偏置；自旋霍尔效应。
